Persistence pays
Contrary to popular belief, Thomas Edison did not invent the light bulb - he improved upon a 50-year-old idea; sort of what I’ve been doing. But before he ‘saw the light’ and his invention succeeded, he had to continually embrace failure. His dogged persistence and eternal optimism was legendary.
Edison explained: “I have not failed. I’ve just found 10,000 ways that won’t work.”

I don’t really believe in Global Warming. Yeah, it’s probably a happening thing, but it’s not my religion. But for commercial use, I’ve now completed a series using the humble tungsten light bulb, combining this with Planet Earth pics, courtesy of NASA = 2 globes in 1.

Sorry for the corny metaphor, but visual puns make my world go round. I luv 'em. This one is entirely my original idea so - cross my fingers- it might sell well. As Thomas Edison once remarked, “Genius is one per cent inspiration, ninety-nine per cent perspiration.” The inventor also said “We often miss opportunity because it’s dressed in overalls and looks like work.” These images certainly take many hours to polish to perfection.

Light Handed
Levitating light bulbs? These studio shots are supposed to evoke the idea of …well, ideas. A conceptual concept. “Many of life’s failures are people who did not realize how close they were to success when they gave up.“ (Edison)

Bad Idea
Skull 'n’ cross bones and flaming fuse make for a dark cocktail.
“When you have exhausted all possibilities, remember this - you haven’t.”

We will finish off this blog with another quote from our infamous inventor:
“Our greatest weakness lies in giving up. The most certain way to succeed is to try just one more time.” (Edison)
